CD40106 Hex Schmitt Trigger Inverter IC DIP-14 Package

The CD4022 is a 4-stage divide-by-8 Johnson counter with 8 decoded outputs and a carry-out bit. These counters are cleared to their zero count by a logical ‘‘1’’ on their reset line. These counters are advanced on the positive edge of the clock signal when the clock enable signal is in the logical ‘‘0’’ state. The configuration of the CD4022 permits medium speed operation and assures a hazard free counting sequence. The 10/8 decoded outputs are normally in the logical ‘‘0’’ state and go to the logical ‘‘1’’ state only at their respective time slot. Each decoded output remains high for 1 full clock cycle. The carry-out signal completes a full cycle for every 10/8 clock input cycles and is used as a ripple carry signal to any succeeding stages.

CD4027 is a single monolithic chip integrated circuit containing two identical complementary-symmetry J-K master-slave flip-flops. Each flip-flop has provisions for individual J, K, Set, Reset, and Clock input signals. Buffered Q and Q\ signals are provided as outputs. This input-ouput arrangement provides for compatible operation with the RCA-CD4013B dual D-type flip-flop. The CD4027 is useful in performing control, register, and toggle functions. Logic levels present at the J and K inputs along with internal self-steering control the state of each flip-flop; changes in the flip-flop state are synchronous with the positive-going transition of the clock pulse. Set and reset functions are independent of the clock and are initiated when a high level signal is present at either the Set or Reset input. The CD4027 types are supplied in 16-lead hermetic dual-in-line ceramic packages (F3A suffix), 16-lead dual-in-line plastic packages (E suffix), 16-lead small-outline packages (M, M96, MT and NSR suffixes), and 16-lead thin shrink small-outline packages (PW and PWR suffixes).

CD4034 is a static eight-stage parallel-or serial-input parallel-output register. It can be used to: 1) bidirectionally transfer parallel information between two buses, 2) convert serial data to parallel form and direct the parallel data to either of two buses, 3) store (recirculate) parallel data, or 4) accept parallel data from either of two buses and convert that data to serial form. Input that control the operations include a single-phase CLOCK (CL), A DATA ENABLE (AE), ASYNCHRONOUS/SYNCHRONOUS (A/S), A-BUS-TO-B-BUS/B-BUS-TO-A-BUS (A/B), and PARALLEL/SERIAL (P/S). Data inputs include 16 bidirectional parallel data lines of which the eight A data lines are inputs (3-state outputs) and the B data lines are outputs (inputs) depending on the signal level on the A/B input. In addition, an input for SERIAL DATA is also provided. All register stages are D-type master-slave flip-flops with separate master and slave clock inputs generated internally to allow synchronous or asynchronous data transfer from master to slave. Isolation from external noise and the effects of loading is provided by output buffering. Register expansion can be accomplished by simply cascading CD4034 packages. The CD4034 types are supplied in 24-lead hermetic dual-in-line ceramic packages (F3A suffix), 24-lead dual-in-line plastic packages (E suffix), 24-lead small-outline packages (M, M96, and NSR suffixes), and 24-lead thin shrink small-outline packages (PW and PWR suffixes).

CD4026 consist of a 5-stage Johnson decade counter and an output decoder which converts the Johnson code to a 7-segment decoded output for driving one stage in a numerical display. These devices are particularly advantageous in display applications where low power dissipation and /or low package count are important. Inputs common to both types are CLOCK, RESET, & CLOCK INHIBIT; common outputs are CARRY OUT and the seven decoded outputs (a, b, c, d, e, f, g). Additional inputs and outputs for the CD4026 include DISPLAY ENABLE input and DISPLAY ENABLE and UNGATED "C-SEGMENT" outputs. A high RESET signal clears the decade counter to its zero count. The counter is advanced one count at the positive clock signal transition if the CLOCK INHIBIT signal is low. Counter advancement via the clock line is inhibited when the CLOCK INHIBIT signal is high. The CLOCK INHIBIT signal can be used as a negative-edge clock if the clock line is held high. Antilock gating is provided on the JOHNSON counter, thus assuring proper counting sequence. The CARRY-OUT (C_out) signal completes one cycle every ten CLOCK INPUT cycles and is used to clock the succeeding decade directly in a multi-decade counting chain. The seven decoded outputs (a, b, c, d, e, f, g) illuminate the proper segments in a seven segment display device used for representing the decimal numbers 0 to 9. The CD4026  outputs go high only when the DISPLAY ENABLE IN is high. The CD4026 series type is supplied in 16-lead dual-in-line plastic packages (E suffix), 16-lead small-outline packages (NSR suffix), and 16-lead thin shrink small-outline packages (PW and PWR suffixes).
